For almost twenty years, she taught and trained Tae Kwon Do with her father, who is a ninth degree Grand Master. She currently holds an Instructor Certification with Kukiwon and The World Tae Kwon Do Federation as a third degree black belt.
After selling a very successful private practice in Lenexa, Kansas, she traveled the world for a year and two months on a spiritual journey. She had so many unanswered questions and was desperately seeking for her soul’s purpose. She asked herself the following questions. ”Who am I?” “What is my purpose on this earth?” “What is my mission?” “How can I make a difference in this world?” “How can I serve more and better?”“Who am I?” ”What is my purpose on this earth?” ”What is my mission?” ”How can I make a difference in this world?” ”How can I serve more and better?” She was searching to find her purpose and destiny. As part of her journey, she lectured at the International Conflict Resolution Conference in St. Petersburg, Russia on chiropractic and energetic healing. She also studied Vipassana meditation at a Buddhist temple in Kyung Ju, South Korea. She realized during this time that chiropractic is truly powerful. It is a science, philosophy and an art combined in one healing profession. She learned that chiropractic is beyond subluxations. It can heal not only physically but also spiritually. She also came to understand that all that she was seeking for was within her. She already possessed her unique gifts, and her soul knew her life’s purpose is in healing. From this moment, her renewed passion for life was born.
Her spirit felt that she needed to be near the ocean, so she moved to Miami, Florida. She bought and sold another successful practice in Miami before calling Honolulu, Hawaii her home. She always knew Hawaii was her home and this is where her spirit belongs. Perhaps because it reminds her so much of the place she grew up as a child – Africa….
In 2004, she opened a private practice in Honolulu. Her office is currently located in Waikiki Integrative Health Clinic, a multi-disciplinary clinic with specialists in chiropractic, acupuncture, psychiatry, psychology, and massage therapy.
She is trained in the following techniques. Kinesiology, Diversified, Thompson, Brimhall, SacroOccipital Technique, BioMeridian, Activator, Chiropractic BioPhysics, Nutrition Response Testing, Neuro Emotional Technique, Meridian Response Technique, MC2 Torque Release, whole food nutrition therapy, pulse and tongue diagnosis, flower essence, Reiki and homeopathy.
Her personal promise is that she will deliver an exceptional care with specific, yet gentle chiropractic adjustments to help the body re-establish structural integrity and build the foundation of wellness. She promises to deliver her care with love, compassion and gratitude, allowing for the magical experiences and the miracles to happen. She believes that people want not only to be listened to but to be heard. This, as a healing process, will fully allow one to freely express his/her own innate intelligence to achieve optimal healing potential.
One of her passions is cooking. She says she has a gift in being able to create a dish in her head and whip out a delicious dish without any recipes. The only downfall is that she does not know how to cook with measurements, which means it is difficult for her to share her recipes with others. Her other favorite pastimes are traveling, learning about other cultures, hiking, swimming in the ocean, yoga and reading. She loves to read especially on nutrition, exercise, finances and philosophy.
She is a member of Hawaii State Chiropractic Association and American Business Women’s Association. She is also a certified YogaFit® instructor. She is happily married to Eric and they have a beautiful son named Ethan. He is the biggest joy of their lives.
